Bravo, Brave New Workshop!

To the delight of many TC theatre goers, Brave New Workshop will have a new home: the former Hennepin Stages theatre at 824 Hennepin Avenue.  This site has been owned by the City of Minneapolis since 1995, which has been spending some $100,000 per year on upkeep since Stagetime Productions/Hey City Stages left in 2004.  The purchase by Brave New World will be financed by the City of Minneapolis, and will include an escrow account of  $ 50,000 for “deferred maintenance”.  Brave New Workshop, which specializes in improvisational comedy,  plans to hold 220 performances annually.  Visit their web site at
